Turkey training camp – April 2026
The overseas training camp is an annual program for the club’s elite players, co-organized by Farum Tennis Klub and Harskov-Værløse Tennis Klub. This year, Charlotte had the exciting opportunity to travel to Antalya and train with her favourite coaches and friends.
The week-long program included four hours of daily tennis training and an hour of physical fitness, making it a demanding challenge for a 12-year-old girl. The journey started with a bit of unexpected turbulence, and they eventually arrived at the hotel at 2:00 a.m.
What a ‘tired’ start!
A Perfect Training Venue
The team stayed at the Süral Resort Hotel, an all-inclusive sports hotel located just five minutes from the tennis courts. With a kid-friendly menu and 3 swimming pools, the hotel proved to be an ideal setting for junior players’ training and recovery.
With a group of 25 tennis players of different ages and skill levels, the children had plenty of opportunities to experience a variety of drills and training sessions. This made the week not only intense, but also fun and inspiring.
Motivation, Team Spirit, and Achievement
The coaches added extra encouragement through a “Player of the Day” award, recognizing each player’s hard work and dedication. This was a wonderful source of motivation for the children. Charlotte was awarded on the final day, and she was extremely proud of her achievement.
Participating in an intensive training camp gives young tennis players the chance to benefit from focused coaching. Still, it also offers something equally important: the opportunity to build friendships and grow stronger as teammates.
A Memorable Experience
All in all, it was a fresh, exciting, and unforgettable experience for Charlotte. She had the chance to travel abroad, make new friends, and continue developing her tennis skills in a supportive and motivating environment.
